This staff position will serve the Greater Lewiston/Auburn community. MYC serves the communities of Greater Portland, Bath/Brunswick, and Lewiston Auburn. The Main office is located in Portland, with a satellite office in Lewiston.
Provides hands on coordination of Restorative Justice Youth Court and helps youth respondent navigate systems of care. The Maine Youth Court is a youth led restorative justice diversion program that allows young people who have violated the law to be held accountable by their peers. In MYC, highly trained youth volunteers are supported by the Coordinator to act as advocates and facilitators, helping divert youth from possible detention and other punitive consequences through this peer-led, restorative process.
